Could anyone give us a list of events which we can use for config files?

i.e. Player_Say.cfg, Team_Player.cfg, etc

Look in your cstrike/resource/modevents.res file and in your hl2/resource/ directory for the serverevents.res and gameevents.res files.

Here's a simple list (without the field information you find in those files above):
http://mattie.info/cs/events.txt

Hope this helps,

well yeah, but not all of them fire. someone should compile a list of events that actually work.

Btw, player_spawn does fire sometimes. I think it's a client-side only event, though. (Or listen-server only.)

I agree-- it would be good to have a list of those known to fire on the server-side. That'll help me judge the areas that most need extended events created.

I think player_spawn was disabled for cs because of the way everyone spawns at the same time. Not sure but I guess it would fire in hl2dm.

I could have sworn I saw instances of it on a listen server recently (I was using eventscripts_debug 1). I was using local bots, and it could have been their spawning that caused it.

Still, I could have been dreaming.

WHOAH, you're right! i'm gonna claim that valve changed this recently, otherwise i'm going crazy. i definitely checked this before on more than one occassion. maybe I'M dreaming.

well at least my consolation for being crazy is that now i can use player_spawn (on a listen server).

Actually, I've got even better news. player_spawn is actually working now for dedicated servers. Valve definitely changed this stealthily.

player_spawn.cfg
Code:
es echo Player spawned: event_var(userid)!
=
Quote:
Player spawned: 2 !
Happy,
