My problem is that I am assigned an IP through DHCP from my ISP, which has a lease of 2 weeks. Due to my external IP changing my server IP changes making it hard for people who I don't communicate with regularly to find the server. Is there anything out there that I can use to keep it consitant?

yeah there are services that give you a address like wyvern.somesite.com instead of a numerical address and you get a little program that updates your IP in their databases whenever it updates so you give out the word address isntead of the numerical one.

Get a decent ISP, I'm sorry but there's no other way.
You could of course get a domain name which you keep updated with your current IP (dyndns.net I think etc), but it won't help with the ingame browser as it adds servers by IP, not DN.

i had the same problem for ages mate whenever i shutdown server for a couple of hours the extern port changes (might as well be the entire ip)
but as JGHG says theres no real way around this other then getting a decent isp provider and check up with them to get a steady ip intern/extern

Get a router to keep the connection active?
I used use the dyndns client built into my router, and no one ever seems to have problems connecting

You could also ask your isp for a static ip address, but you will have to pay extra for it
