KAC Global Banlist API change

Hi,

I'm posting this here to notify everyone to an upcoming change to the KAC Global Banlist API.

The new way to test for a global ban will be through: http://kigenac.com/api/check.php?id=<SteamID or SteamID64>
The Steam ID can also be passed as a POST variable "id". This system would prefer SteamID64 aka Friend ID.

The old system will continue to function until Oct 1st, 2013 at which point it will be discontinued.

The expected replies will be:
_OK - Steam ID is not on the banlist.
_BAN - Steam ID is on the banlist.
_INVALID - Steam ID was not received or is invalid.
_ERROR - Internal error

Out of curiosity, are new bans from KAC still being added to the list?

There are still bans being made. Cheaters that come across servers I manage will end up there. Along with people who think its fun to DDoS a server.

There are some that are really blatant about what they do. DDoSing is way worse than cheating. And I've had to develop KAD (Kigen's Anti-DoS) in response to it.

^^ I can agree with this, and sound like a usefull feature, though it may lead them to DDoS the servers using it, kinda dubble edge blade. But I will most certainly check it out when it's made public.

_BAN is being returned for invalid SteamIDs.

Example: http://kigenac.com/api/check.php?id=INVALID_STEAM_ID
