-=FORCE FILE DOWNLOAD=-

I have been watching certain things like those in .res file extentions - these in maps folder in cstrike work as custom map downloads - fine!
Ok... now I have something that is common for all maps and all server types.
eg. config.cfg or userexec.cfg or autoexec.cfg or any other resource file.

I need a plugin that can either:
add lines in a file that the client already has
or
Directly add custom files regardless of map specification (list of files needed can be in another file)
or
Check for the validity of files of client - whether same file or not - replace if different from server (list of files needed can be in another file)
or
Simply always replace mentioned files (list of files needed can be in another file)

If you can give a code that works in 1.8.1 or 1.8.2 beta versions, then please do or make a plugin yourself and post it - I SHALL BE REALLY THANKFUL TO YOU for it... It's a plugin that can change ease server file transfer to a huge extent!!

You can't modify or replace any file the client already has.

You can only change server side files by using a custom map... you do this by compiling a map with the file "pretending" to be in the server's file location in which you wish to change.

You would have to use a map file compressor like Pakrat or Packbsp.

All in all, not an easy thing to do.

Precisely why I am not explaining it =/

Then you break map CRC code and start kick players from server, server map different than players.

Well that is why I say you can do it with custom maps. I've attempted with sounds. For example, on my custom map, I changed the sentry gun sounds to something less more... beeps, you could say. So... The files don't download to the client, therefore no change to the players game clients (following rules). However, if anyone implemented the map to their own server, the sound would continue to stay changed.

You probably already understand this technique, however I may aswan explain to others who don't.

I stopped doing this awhile ago however because it is very "unclean" and I'm not sure if it works with all files.

guys, it's nt slow hacking or sort of... client autoexec which is well approved by allied modders is another plugin that does the client_exec work...... even for custom maps, u can simply make a (custommap).res file in text and add file names (without the need of moddir) ..... So , now I want something that is common for all maps!! I have 155 maps - now how stupid i would be to edit or make a (.res) file for each of the maps!! >
I hope someone would come up with a better idea
