The newest nightly build that I downloaded (r1924) is giving me errors in terms of extensions. I was wondering if anyone has an earlier build that I can use, or possibly a fix for the newest build. A lot of my plugins, including default ones that come with sourcemod, are not loading due to sdktool.ext not running or something like that.

Did you look in your addons/sourcemod/extensions folder to see if when you updated forgot about uploading the sdk tools include?

I tossed in everything that was in the nightly build folder =/. Would metamod source version affect it by any chance?

use 'sm exts list' to get the current id number of sdktools then 'sm exts info <num>' to get a reason of why sdktools.ext isn't running. Paste here.

You can grab every single published build from the Subversion repository if needed - however, I would suspect what has happened is you have not successfully updated all the files.

If your server was still running when you attempted an update it would cause some files not to be updated. You may also need to re-compile existing plugins so they match the new SM header files.

What I do is this:
  • Download the new build
  • Install it locally on a clean dedicated server
  • test
  • shut down the remote server
  • delete the remote install of SM (delete the SM dir)
  • ftp the local install to the remote server
That way any bugs will (normally) get caught on the local install and there is no need to worry about old files being left/used on the remote server.

This process gets slightly more complicated if you have large amounts of .cfg files and 3rd party extensions.. but im sure you can work out a way to do it ;]

As for the installation process, I'll try it one more time and get back to you on if it works.

EDIT: Never mind I got it. Thank you very much guys.

My guess is that you didn't update Core? (Just mentioning it for posterity)
