I cant seem to find any good bots for HLDM. jk_botti has horrible waypointing and offers no option for manual waypoint editing. The only documented waypoint commands are to enable auto waypointing and show waypoints. The bots tend to approach ramps from the side and get hung up on them and I have no tool to remove or modify a bad path. jk_bots also only allow waypoints to be a small fixed distance from each other which results in the entire map being a giant waypoint mess.

I've tried other bots but they are either grossly outdated or not metamod compatible. Does anyone know of any bots that allow manual waypoint editing, not outdated and is meta mod compatable?

apparently you know the bots univers. there is no other (known) location where you may find better help.

I asked on the bots united forums but I came here because bots united is pretty much abandoned and it can be weeks to months before a single person answers me on there. I just don't have that kind of patience.

The best bots for HLDM might be Jumbot. It installs as a seperate mod, but you can merge files into "valve" dir to make it work nontheless. Unfortunately there is no metamod version available and zooming is disabled/bugged. You can run it via "+localinfo mm_gamedll "dlls/jumbot.dll" parameter to make it work with metamod and amxx.

Another great bot is Parabot, which aghl.ru improved to version v2.7. The newer versions are also metamod compatible.

JK Botti is a decent bot but the waypoints truly are sometimes a bit messed up. I think one can fix this somehow, because otherwise the AI is very usable.

Keep in mind that all bots were designed for untouched HLDM. Every plugins or gameplay change might interfere with the bots AI and lead to an unsatisfying experience.
