It doesn't seem to work. It announces itself each round, but haven't seen any results yet..I might just have been unlucky.

It's just executing the "heartbeat" command server side every time someone disconnects or is typing !hb in chat.
If nobody is interested in the current gamemode/map the free slots won't be filled.

Thanks for the fix Ghosty. (Not sure if it really works in L4D2 or it is just placebo effect, but thanks regardless.)

One bug I noticed:
sm_heartbeat_auto CVAR doesn't work. I'd like to have the plugin running on my server but only calling heartbeats manually. Any ideas?

precisely man that was the idea i was using since some time and i really think its working

It seems to be working great on my L4D2 server as well. One thing though. It seems that while we are playing a game the server stays full at all times (thanks for that btw) but from what I can tell I am getting less lobby connections to the server. Does this somehow interfere with that?
