guys, how do i refresh a mySQL database connection? i use sourcebans and i lost connection to the database a lot of times, how do i refresh only the database? because if i reload the plugin my server freeze.

Refresh the database? The issue here is likely connectivity between your game and database servers. Either that or there is some kind of misconfiguration on the DB server.

its not a misconfig, i just want something to try to connect again to the db

Like this, DB is working and connected but something happens and connection is lost, are there any way to reconnect to the DB?

You can reload the plugins
You can restart the server

well, i dont want to restart the server because i'll lose players, and i cant reload the sourcebans plugin, it crash my server, a lot of plugins crash my server if i reload it, u know how to fix it?

Something is seriously wrong if reloading plugins crashes your server

it dont rlly crash my server, it just freeze it, but i need to restart it, and its not all plugins that crash my server, for exemple the customweaponstf, if i add a weap and reload it, it freeze, but if i remove a weap and reload it, it dont freeze, i got the newest version of SM and ima test it out

Not really. Reloading plugins that make use of the DBI has been a known crasher/deadlocker for a long time.

I think this may be due to lots of handles being left open when queries never time out.
I've seen fatal logs where plugins are unloaded because too many queries are open.. But looking over the code, the only way that could ever happen is if they never returned.
