The updater only updates gamedata files, as the first four paragraphs of the news post suggest.

Well, all i can say is that this was the fix for my problem.

great job guys, i knew you would pull through for me.

the only issue i seem to have is the map change one, and i haven't tried it in a couple days, so i cant really comment on that, that could be a error on the box anyways, those maps were just used for a getaway from dust 2 anyhow, they can find a custom rotation for them i guess, no big deal.
