1) This Webpanel + plugin make use of the banned_user.cfg?
2) If I submit a ban through mani admin plugin, that ban is submitted in some way on the web site and propagated between all my servers?

Thanks very much.

This mod is not meant to be used with mani admin. You should use it in conjunction with metamod and sourcemod. Sourcemod will be the replacement admin system for mani admin.

If you really want to run both, you'll have to ban players using the sm_ban command in the console. You will also have to configure your admins steam id's in sourcemod to make use of this command.

Not much sense keeping two admin lists around

Games server is Windows Server 2003.

Webserver is Linux

Can you tell me what part of this plugin determines whether the web page can read what players are in the servers, as I've setup the database, cfg and sourcebans.cfg as per instructions. Bans work correctly and show up OK, it's just the retrieving players bit that's not working.

Thanks

Problem gone away, my fault, I was using the dark theme, and it didn't work, as soon as I changed to default, the players could be seen. ;)

You need to speak to your webhost, and allow them to open a connection to your gameserver. Sounds like its blocked by default

Ok, So what ports would I need to open to connect to my game server? Because I can't just tell them, "Hey, could you open some ports to allow me to connect to my game server please?" lol.

Also, how do I use this plugin in game?

It's not about ports, it's about MySQL access hosts. By default MySQL only accepts connections from localhost. Usually there's an option in your cpanel to add IP addresses to MySQL, so they're accepted. If not then you can give the IP to your host and they can probably do it.

Now if you really have this problem, there should be an error in your error logs or sourcebans.log saying that this IP doesn't access to your database. That IP isn't always the same as your gameserver's IP, so make sure you give the IP that's mentioned in the error log.

Oh, on using the plugin in game, make sure you move basebans.smx to the disabled folder, then there will be a Ban option under Player Commands. sm_ban and sm_banip work too of course. For admins, all you need is admin-flatfile.smx.

SourceMod is required. You should have known that when you downloaded SourceBans.
