The only reason you would need to port another source engine game model to csgo is if it's a character model and you want it to be animated.

I have neither.

All models between the engine are cross-compatible. HOWEVER i do remember seeing talk about the compiling being different. Source: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...69&postcount=7

Should work fine though, i've used gmod and cs:s models inside cs:go. Plus most of the csgo store hats were directly copied from the css models (not converted)

CSGO has only one animation set that all of it's models use. It also uses a newer model format that uses 4 files instead of 6, iirc they dropped dx9/10 stuff.

I've rigged a few models for csgo, it's not too hard since they have normal biped skeletons.

As far as I remember there is a 'ct_annimation.mdl'. and 't_annimation.mdl'.

And yes better make models with the new skeleton(halloweenupdate) or search for someone......

Ct and t both are the same, or very similar, and use the same bones....
