Yes, I noticed the new steam client erases liblist.gam! This is infuriating.

i set perms on that file on win2k so that only adminstrator gorup can modify it - steam looses

This sounds like the kind of "feature*" valve will either end up rescinding or making a loophole for. It's just too damaging for say gaming cafes and server companies.
