Yes it is listed as a known problem in the opening post:

Known problems Players changing team/disconnecting leaves "hanging" ranks on scoreboard Everyone on your server claims to be Global Elite

I don't have fix for this yet. I have one idea, but I haven't tested it yet.

I'm looking for someone to develop this plugin a little further, by adding a database to store the ranks across different servers, restrict the controls to admin side only and then attempt to fix the hanging ranks on the scoreboard. If anyone is interested I can pay depending on the amount of work required.

I have already made a version which saves ranks to HLstatsX:CE MySQL database and shows them on the Hlstats webpage as you can see here. I will update the plugin to support only admin controls soon. Please be patient, thanks.

That's awesome! Can't wait for the update. Admin-only and scoreboard cleanup are the only 2 things that are stopping me from running this on my server.

Have you tried fixing the scoreboard yet?
