is there a way to add spawn points without using stripper?

You can use an entity editor such as EntEd or EntSpy to change/add spawn points and then upload the bsp to your server.

Only the server needs the new bsp file. The clients can play using the original file.

You can dl my stripper map defines for 40 spawns for a couple of maps.

I am running metamod 1.3d

No version resource in the dll I am running but it is version 1.1a.
