Hey boys and girls,

So i run a small gaming community and we currently have all our retakes server setup on our original dedicated box with hlstats on that box also. We have now got ourselves a new dedicated box and going to host a couple more retakes on it and would love to be able to link it so the new servers go onto the original hlstats install but i'm not sure what im meant to do and am scared of overwriting the original hlstats database if i do it wrong.

What i am asking is do i need to run a new hlstats daemon on the new box, if so do i keep the original mysql database logins in the hlstats.conf. Do i need to do a bind ip and in regards to the server.cfg file with the logon 1.1.1.1:27500 do i keep it the same as the original box or the dedicated boxes IP?

Thanks

i would start a new daemon on the new server
login must than point to your daemon on the new servers ,
the daemon has to point to the mysql on your old server! (in hlstats.conf)
than add the server in the hlstats-adminsettings and it should work!

Okay fantastic so just to make sure im to do the following.

Start a new daemon on the new dedicated server with hlstats.conf having the MySQL from the current hlstats installation.
Im then to use the logon ip of the current hlstats also and alllll should work?

it should... it seems the logical way... at all you cant loose the data with this method .. so just try!

after logon to the current stats (admin of hlstatsx-webpage) insert your new server there and it should work!

Okay i have tried what was stated before with no luck unfortunately.

I have a daemon running on the new server with the database of that daemon using the same as the working one on the original hlstats install.

I have added the IP of the original working hlstats to the autoexec and server.cfg files.

log on
logaddress_add x.x.x.x:27500
logaddress_add x.x.x.x 27500

Just to make sure.

I've added the new server on the hlstats website, it is showing as 0/0.

Anyone help me on this?
