Even approvers are Non-Steam (some of them) I believe I saw a post about orpheu (he was an approver) he asked like his problem and he included a quote like this:

<hisname><2><STEAM_ID_LAN><>" connected

So it shows Non-Steam is not bad just it is not supported here.
Any Non-Steam user if asks for support about his server that includes Non-Steam patch, he will be warned first then he will get banned.

Unless you can prove that he is running No-Steam, an out-dated engine is not enough of a reason. Even if he claims No-Steam on some other site, you must prove that he is the same user in question on this site (username is not enough)

STEAM_ID_LAN does not always indicate No-Steam... I can join with STEAM_ID_LAN and still be on a Steam Server with a Steam Client (ie, sv_lan is set to 1)

i use and support nonsteam. ban me from this psychotic forum, please.. i understand that you guys don't support nonsteam and i even understand why, but every time i visit here there's always some witch hunt going on in recent topics, and it makes my skin crawl. some people are even being targeted for no good reason, other than self-satisfaction. the authority-complex here is just too much for comfort. nonsteam support here can be deterred without the witch hunts.

I wouldn't call it a witch hunt, more of a rise in No-Steam users and idiots
