In-game SM Plugin to Connect to Discord Server.

A community member introduced me to Discord yesterday. He set up a server for our community and on first testing (a few hours) it seems pretty "nice". Voice is clear and crisp. The "app" (in my case windows) seems fairly intuitive and at first glance/testing seems to be "clean" of "malware". And best of all, at the moment it is free?

Anyhow, sorry for the wall of text.

The request would be as the title suggest. I know in the past there has been plugins to connect/redirect to TS, mumble. It appears you can even use Discord in your favorite browser. I suspect with the browser compatibility it would make it easier for someone who knew what he/she was doing to make this happen.

From my experience, Discord's servers tend to lag a bunch during the day. This is from weeks of experience using this.

yeah I had noticed some lag.....not surprising really....but still going to give it a go....have TS3 server as well as mumble for back up.

and COMPLETELY off topic..I thought for a few ms that was a bug on my screen xD

Got eeeeem.

But don't get me wrong, Discord is a pretty good option if you're not willing to dish out $5 to start up your own TeamSpeak/Mumble/whatever voice server. Their app is really nice looking and overall a good experience. Too bad about the privacy issue...

This is something I'd be interested in, I'll see what I can dig up.

Fortunately for me, I haven't had those problems since the BETA before last year.
Discord supports free mobile apps which are pretty great compared to competitors.

No one has done it because you cant use custom protocols in the source engine to interact with other apps.
The best you could do is make a link like: discord.mysite.com

From my experience I've only really seen discord lag around updates and like two times they had big errors or something.

There's a discord api plugin, if that's what you're looking for.

Kinda hard to tell wth people are talking about. If you want something that can open discord from in-game or something then idkwdfbbq.
