HLDS update Problem in DOS! Help Plz

Failed to connect to any GeneralDirectoryServer, WinSOck Error 10106 "Unknown socket error"
What the hell is that, ive updated before. I just upgraded my PC, so installed windows XP again and tried to do that. Pissin me off

if it doesnt work after several attempts
u need to down hlserver or re-install baby...
no way around that zhit

dam man im installing it new, and i downloaded it again too! dam i hate this.

when i try to download Counter Strike Source in HLDS its downloading allmost the all pack and stuck at sheep.wav with some soket error

i tryd to reinstall, rename dir...
i did it all !!!

I had to DL it from my friend over AIM, now that is just gay. Nobody seems to know anything about this, in steam forums CS forum and some other forum, i called microsoft even. What the hell am i cursed!
