I just got this in a e-mail:
We have identified the cause of the lag and have created a fix for it.
Updated game dlls will be released via Steam next week.

In the meantime we have a hotfix available, the updated game dlls can be downloaded from:
http://www.steampowered.com/drop/062...e_gamedlls.zip

Unzip this file into the cstrike/dlls directory.

The md5 sums of the updated game dlls are:
10f2dcdbacc50e9fe198fa05b85e5ca8 mp.dll
1c4d3d4d073be72829e8d81dce59a4c7 cs_amd64.so
6a57b0d1817cfc659059694e6e281d33 cs_i386.so

now im worried!!! i finally regained control of lagspikes after 3 days of non sleep coffee drinking testing agany painfull days and nights
and basicly we need to dump this in mp.dlls once again?!

look mate ill sleep on it and wait and see input from people who uses this
to certify that its a fully working no lagging patch
of course i could have spared u this reading and just gone to bed
but needed to make and output of the last 3 days

Nice work Dubie , this will help Steam users. I've experienced pings around 200 in my server while testing plugins. I usually get 10-30 ping.

This for standalone steam dedicated cstrike servers? -- or listenservers, or both?

This is for all Steam mods I believe , they will release updates for new mod .dlls for everyone soon. So I don't think it has to do with your server only if you use Steam.
