Hi.
I'm currently running on a dedicated server:
Ryzen 5 5600G
64GB DDR4 3200 MHZ
2TB NVME SSD
____

The dedicated server is great, but right now i am using proxmox to virtualize a VM with Ubuntu on.

My var is low at 0.01 and 0.100, with 8 bots on the server and myself on 128 tick.

I read online that I should go barebones instead and do XanMod. Would anyone actually recommend this?

I usually stick to running standard kernel (I use Ryzen 9 series)

I use this normally for running gameservers:
Code:
apt-get install tuned && tuned-adm profile latency-performance
If you have any questions, just ask. :-)

Yes, someone would recommend this, but it's not always best for your use scenario.

Try it and find out, but running barebones is totally not necessary, ProxMox is great and I use it in some cases. I would not use Ubuntu but that's just my personal opinion, not a requirement.

As @ThePwnt put it, standard kernel first, running tuned should be your first steps. Then you can try different kernels like XanMod, Liquorix, or building your own.

There's also different types as well, like Real Time.
