I'm having trouble with this plugin.
We're using it on our CSS DeathMatch servers but the convars keep resetting them back.

These are the cvars defined in server.cfg

When I check those now, there current values are:

13:043 "sm_protection_punish" = "1" min. -1.000000 max. 1.000000
- Determines punishment functionality. (-1 = Slay Player, 0 = No Action, 1 = Lose Health)
13:05:14 "sm_protection_duration" = "7" min. -1.000000
- The number of seconds players will receive protection for upon spawning. (-1.0 = Team Duration, 0 = Disabled, # = Seconds)
Thats.... completely different then what I defined.

Any idea how this can happen?

Use the plugin's own config file from cstrike\cfg\sourcemod.

There should be an option that instead of time-based protection it is distance / radius away from spawn point (for surf server) but still disables if shoot (so cant be exploited).
