Sorry for the confusion, i'm not sure what you mean, but no matter what I try, I can't get it to work. I downloaded the latest VScript with SourceScramble 0.7.1.4, but I'm having the same issue. I also tried the zip file provided by Kerouha, but both vscript.smx and l4d2_sb_ai_improver.smx won't load. I've tested this on Ubuntu Server 20.04 and 22.04, but I can't seem to pinpoint what's wrong with my configuration

Since you said you are using Ubuntu, when you download SourceScramble 0.7.1.4, make sure you are downloading the package.tar.gz file and NOT the package.zip file which is for Windows.

Since the VScript package does not contain the source and you did not mention how you got the source, you can try the attached VScript_1.8.6.tar.xz file.

see the screenshots for the results I think I'm done trying to use this plugin. I downloaded SourceScramble version 0.7.1.4 from this link, grabbed the .tar.gz and then I took the zip file you added here, including the Keroura zip file, but it doesn't work for me. I tried different versions as well, but I always encounter the same issue I don't know if anyone else is facing the same problem on Ubuntu

That was it! I was using the wrong version of SM, silly me. Updated it to 1.12 and now everything’s working great. Big thanks to both of you, Mystik Spiral and Kerouha, really appreciate the help!

Damn, I thought that this spaghetti-coded Frankenstein of mine was buried or something. But I'm really glad that someone with more experience than me took the time to fix and update it.

The reason I disappeared and left this plugin was because I felt like I'd reached the limit of what I could add to it, and because I burned out from working on it for almost 2 years (and because my personal life took over, of course). It's been over a year since I last coded in SP, so I highly doubt I'll ever get back to working on it.

Anyway, feel free to do whatever you want with my code, either modify it or grab some parts for your own plugins. Toodles!
