What should it do?
- Track when admins come in and leave
- Use that aggregate data to see if the server gains or loses popularity
-- In other words, when an admin joins, does the server get MORE or LESS people?
Examples:
20 players/24 are playing, admin A (STEAM_0:0:0) joins. 30 minutes later, only 16 players are left after admin A leaves.
Admin B joins right as Admin A left; within 30 minutes, admin B (STEAM_0:0:1) leaves but now 23 out of 24 players are in.
Maybe the data file (SQLite or something...) would contain data split by day/time:
Day Time Start Time End Net Time SteamID Players Left | Joined
5-20-09 11:05 11
5AM 30 STEAM_0:0:0 3 5
5-21-09 11:05 11
5AM 30 STEAM_0:0:0 1 3
5-22-09 11:05 11
5AM 30 STEAM_0:0:0 5 4
Then have a total average per STEAMID:
STEAMID Net Loss Net Gain
STEAM_0:0:0 9 12
There could certainly be ratios involved (like debt/income ratio in Accounting), but it's your choice. I gave the idea, run with it if you can
