Just a heads up...

Myself and another server admin running linux servers have had nothing but crashing every 15-20mins now.

Any other server admins on linux experiencing the same thing? Anyways, just kind of a heads up.

We thought it was SM related, but just had some non-sm servers crash too.

Thanks valve!

Might want to throw up an mdmp so we can take a look (mainly for the non SM related issues) bunch of people working to find the proper offsets/sigs atm to get SM up to date as we speak.

Yeah working on it.

Ill post mdmp when I have it.

We thought it was SM at first, but now with non-sm servers crashing too, we dont know whats going on. I dont think its SM.

But after I get mdmp posted, any help would be appreciated. Im sure theres others with the same issues.

I use Centos5.2 64 bit
I only get crashes as it starts, after 2-5 start attempts, it will start and run just fine without sourcemod. Sourcemod causes in-game crashes, but I'm sure that's just because the gamedata needs updating.

I could be wrong and there may be other issues, but we are also having crashes on non-SM servers too so, its clearly not entirely SM if it is.

Well SM definitely has problems atm, predcrab is working on the update now that will fix all the issues with it.

As far as you two using 64bit OS, the suggestion made in the IRC channel was to reboot the box after installing the update.

When I said mdmp, I was talking to russell since he said he had the same problem but was on windows. Try rebooting and see if it still happens and let me know.

well with sourcemod loaded, i was getting crashes as soon as 3 minutes into each map every time. W/o it loaded, it has rotated through 4 maps now w/o a crash.

Interesting. Its weird cause we run 3 windows SM servers as well, neither have not crashed even once yet.

But mine and friends many linux servers it seems even without SM installed, crash like crazy.
