Too bad it will stop working when CSS goes OrangeBox. Its already failing on TF2. Valve "fixed" this. I don't know what their problem is, none of this stuff make the bots appear as real players in the server browser.
regardless its still pretty awesome, thanks for the hard work and great idea.

Hi All,

i installed the Plugin and i changed nothing. But no BOTs are on my Server . Why ???

Make sure that your server.cfg has the line "bot_add" and somewhere after that
bot_quota X
where X is the desired number of bots and finally:
bot_quota_mode "fill"

This plugin doesn't mess with your configuration in any way, you still need to set up your server to use bots yourself. All the quota manager does is to force the quota check "into the rounds" as opposed to the vanilla round_end-check.
Also, you said you changed nothing. The quota manager is disabled by default, so you need to set sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch to 1 in cstrike/cfg/sourcemod/sm_ace_botchat.cfg

also ich habe folgendes in der server.cfg

bot_add
bot_quota 6
bot_quota_mode fill

warum sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch auf 1 ??? habe keinen deathmatch server.

wenn ich das plugin so lade stürzt der server ab. Warum ???

p.S. Das Avatar ist voll passend für Steam was Die alles fürn Mist machen und gemacht haben.

This plugin does not "put bots" on your server nor does it prevent them from being spawned (if you stay away from the quota manager )
Also the convar name 'sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch' might be a bit misleading. Its not only for deathmatch. It just makes sure that newly connected bots will spawn instantly AND kicking bots instantly when a real player joins, instead of waiting till the round ends.

If sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch is disabled and you still can't get bots into your server, you should ask for help in the Server discussion subforum.

habe alles so gemacht wie du sagtest ... Server stürzt ab ... mit einer normalen BOT config läuft alles mit BOTs ... sobald ich das Plugin laden lasse stürzt der Server ab. ebenso finde ich kein cvar mit sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch

es gibt nur einen sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch_control

also bei mir bekomme ich absolut keine BOTs mit dem Plugin

And the server is crashing as well, if sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch_control is set to "0" ?
Please attach the following things to your next posting:

  • Zipped up contents of the sourcemod/logs directory
  • Server console response of the command: 'version'
  • Server console response of the command: 'meta version'
  • Server console response of the command: 'sm version'
  • Server console response of the command: 'sm plugins list'
  • Server console response of the command: 'sm exts list'
  • Server console response of the command: 'meta list'
  • Server console response of the command: 'plugin_print'
Also, please try to disable (set to 0) the following cvars:
  • sm_ace_botchat_block_connect
  • sm_ace_botchat_block_disconnect
  • sm_ace_botchat_block_namechange
  • sm_ace_botchat_block_team
  • sm_ace_botchat_bot_say_replies
  • sm_ace_botchat_rename_bots
  • sm_ace_botchat_deathmatch_control
and then see if it still crashes the server.
This will restrict the plugin to only make bots respond to game events, nothing else.

so... if I put 20 bots on server and some event occurs, are they all gonna spam the chat at the sametime?
