Blank meaning empty or does not exist?

Mine is not empty.. try deleting it and restarting the server. I'm not sure if the plugin creates this file. If this does not work you could try to copy the file from one of your other servers and try it again

It's a temporary store for a plugin's updater manifest, there is probably a problem with one of the plugins you are running using Updater.

I already took the one from another server, but that didn't work, so I emptied it again, and it seems to have worked. At the last start up I didn't see the error, so I think it's fixed.

I'm having the same error since yesterdays update. The error message stops when I delete sm_chooseforme plugin that I wrote.

It used to work without any problems until yesterday. Can anyone confirm if they have the same problem with this plugin too?

I don't know if the problem is with my plugin or updater :S

dl.dropbox.com redirects to dl.dropboxusercontent.com as of a few days ago (it started a few weeks ago, but it wasn't reliable), the Sockets version of Updater doesn't handle redirect responses.

So changing the update links from
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/
to
http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/
should fix the problem for people who has sockets version?

I'd like to request that a plugin whitelist/blacklist be added to Updater so server admins can control which plugins automatically update. A lot of people are paranoid and don't want to run Updater because they're scared of the potential for abuse, but a whitelist would allow them to enable Updater for SMAC only.
