Hi,I run a HLDS and whenever somebody shoots, or kills everyones ping in the game SKY ROCKETS UP!! Like from 45 ping upt o 1000 or even 2000 sometimes

1. Is this server dedicated?
2. Do you play on the same computer as the server runs on?
3. Does this still happen with AMXMODX not installed on the server?

Well I don't know what seems to be the problem, but you could try disabling some plugins, not the plugins which comes with the amxmodx installer, try that and see if it works, also try defragmenting your .gcf files using GCF Scape, but you need .net framework 1.1 installed before you can run GCF Scape. .GCF files tend to be fragmented, and the built-in defragmenter in Steam doesn't usually work ;P, well there goes steam.

Defragment does help, but I just want to point out I once tried to host a server on a computer almost identical to yours without using it for anything else... Wasn't a good idea =/

Then again, it coula been my computer had something wrong...
