Wouldn't this be a way to punish a GSLT ban for Valve? I think if you just delete a GSLT the IP is not deleted from the clients server list.

does this still work? i tried it and nothing has been changed. quit the "test" server, added the new ip to commandline and start it again. also i changed only the port from 27015 to 27025 or does this only work with a complete new ip address? today after steam start my server favorite and history was empty so i restarted steam again and they come back, but no ip update.

How long did you wait? Perhaps they have increased the period before a refresh is done?

I had a bit of an opposite experience. Several months ago I shut down one server. Then a month after that I made a new server with the same IP but a different token. This new server was in many people's favorite list even though it had a different token.
