Devs - one of my Admins and a regular were being suspected of speedhack. I have demos available for review as well as the output of "differences" from my admin so you can check his configs.

My admin said he was overclocking his CPU and the game was pretty laggy for him. He restarted and turned off OC and the issue went away. His CPU is an amd opteron 170 2.0 dual core and it was OC'd from 2.0 to 2.5 stock voltage.

I haven't received the differences output from the other regular player but he says he does not OC...

Let me know what you would like to see and I'll send it to you. I have demo and text file with differences for client.

I'm guessing he uses Windows XP.

He may need to run AMD Dual-Core Optimizer.

Clients affected by the AMD Dual-core timing issues will exhibit speedhack-like behavior and experience shot registration issues.

hi,

in the wiki i can see:
Detection Sample (In-Game)

Hackworth is suspected of using a speedhack.

In the game admin only see "[SMAC] & is suspected of using a speedhack."

Why i can't see the name ?

the real name is : >|foreverfriend| < ludo

thx

Is there an easier way to verify suspected speedhackers than unloading the plugin? I'd like for lesser admins to be able to check with confidence but unlike other modules this seems very hit and miss and inhibits the very activity it's detecting.

I'm glad that people can't use their speedhacks but I'd still like to know who actually is/isn't.

Yesterday i had a false positive for speedhacking in CS:GO. I know he wasn't cheating, soo..
It happened in freezetime after teamswitch at halftime while spawing on terrorist site.

Seems like a valid request.

It can happen occasionally (ex: if the server spikes), which is why this module doesn't take automatic action.

noticed this pop up a lot recently on our tf2 servers. They are definately hacking, makes it look like they are continuously turning right or left, but thats only to confuse you. They are actually using aimbot
