Hi,

I have a working ubuntu 18 server running an srcds server, i've validated that metamod and sourcemod are both installed, however when I add .smx plugins to /css/cstrike/addons/sourcemod/plugins/ directory, nothing happens, and it doesn't show up in the server.

I haven't found not even ONE guide on how to do this and have spent several hours searching how to actually install plugins.

We don't know which plugin you are talked about.
Even you tell plugin by name, there are maybe 3 other version of same named plugin.
- Give a link to plugin topic/post.

Did you change map or using server console:
sm plugins refresh

Do you get error log files in sourcemod/logs folder?
