Hi All,

Hope you are well. As you know there are lots of server crash exploits in internet. Therefore, i want to prevent exec a cfg from console. For ex. you put the pinghack.cfg in your cstrike folder and joined to server. Opened the console and wrote exec pinghack.cfg and it ran. I want to prevent this process. Is it possible?

If yes, could you please help me?

If no, how can i prevent my server from these attacks (hlds and reHLDS exploits, cfg attacks)?

The exec command executes a file on the player's local computer. You cannot prevent this from happening since the exec command is never sent to the server. Blocking things will depend on what commands are sent to the server and if anything can be done about it. Therefore, you'd have to explain exactly what you are trying to block (in a new thread since this thread is answered).

I explained all things clearly. I guess you didnt read the all messages. I recommend you read again.

You're the one who should read again. Putting a .cfg file in the SERVER and using the "exec" command in the SERVER'S CONSOLE is NOT "sending a command to the server". That's simply executing the command in the same directory where the server is located - this has nothing to do with CLIENTS using the "exec" command in the CLIENT CONSOLE - you can do that without even being connected to a server.

Let's make it simpler: It's not possible to prevent a player from running the command "exec myfile.cfg".

Bit complicated to install and get it working but when it does its very good anti cheat and prevents people having illigal files in their cstrike and half-life folder.

It kicks or bans players if they have X.cfg X.dll X.exe or what ever file you want.
They get kicked or banned before even entering the server.

And how do you magically know the name of the .cfg file?
