don't remember why, but I was compiling some plugin locally and when I uploaded it to the server ( when overwriting the other one ) I found out that it took up a few less kb than the same plugin compiled by the online compiler...I have tried this with some other plugins and came to a conclusion that in fact all the plugins are a few kb smaller when compiled locally...

can i also make the conclusion that these plugins are also more efficientcause they are a tad smaller?
probably the fact that the online compiler is still 1.77 plays a role in this too...hhhmmm....

There was no 1.77 release, so the compiler couldnt be at 1.77.

It is, however, still set at 1.76d instead of 1.80. The difference is most likely because the compiler that comes with the full installer package is the 1.80 compiler and not the previous 1.76d compiler.

As far as efficiency goes, so long as your plugins are coded efficiently, then they will be compiled efficiently.
