This is absurd.

A moderator don't need to know anything about scripting or programming. The moderador job is to enforce forum rules. That's all.
A plugin approver should be a well known guy, with common sense, good knowledge about programming/scripting and a polite person.

All that said, doesn't mean a plugin approver can't be a moderator.

This is a forum and I think people don't need to ask for more moderators. There're always eyes looking everything.

Maybe the thing of too much plugins in queue to be approved it's an issue. But adding approvers will not add quality to them (the scripts).


I think will be better some new process to achieve aproval status.

Something like this:

.- Submit yout plugin to community vote

Voting should be done over plugin idea, not coding quality

.- Plugin approver, based on how many votes the idea has, could move the plugin to technical revision status

Here anyone could give feedback on coding quality, feature ideas, etc

.- After a while, the plugin could be approved or rejected

A plugin can't stay forever in "for approval" queue... If the owner can't achieve the approval status in a while, it should be rejected. Maybe some retry could be done with a new submission
