Do I even need to point out that "abandonware" sites are warez sites? Heck, iD software still sells DOOM and DOOM II... you can even get them as part of DOOM 3 BFG Edition on Steam, which was released less than 2 years ago.

Calm down, DOOM's source code is freely available since 1997, you can build it and play it if you want.

Mario Teaches Typing's code isn't and its download is located on the same site (which was helpfully pointed out by Cramik).

Edit: And on an unrelated note, while the game engine can be distributed for DOOM/DOOM 2, that doesn't mean the other assets (graphics, sounds, etc...) can be.
