A2S Spam Ban v0.2

A2S Anti Spam is a plugin which automatically IP bans an A2S Query attacker thus preventing your server from crashing.

What games are supported?
It has only been tested in CSGO and I believe that is the only game which is supported as of now, because we rely on the PTAH extension (Thanks, komashchenko)

Installation is easy, Just click download repository here to get the latest version and copy to your server in the correct same structure.

WhiteList file
In the sourcemod/configs folder you will see a2s-whitelist.txt, here you can add IPs or Hostnames which won't get banned. This can be useful for people who use HLSW for example. If you have a Dynamic IP, then I would suggest getting something like NO-IP and then you can add your hostname to the whitelist instead of updating it each time your IP changes.

Cvars
As of now, there is only one cvar, this allows you to specify how long an attacker gets banned for. By default, it's 5 mins. sm_a2s_bantime

I run both, While the MM plugin probably helps, it does not seem to be very effective.

This simply detects when an attack is printed to server console then bans that IP to prevent it from further spamming and eventually crashing your server.

Are you sure it's still possible to lag/crash CSGO server with A2S spam?

• Use .FindString method instead to check if IP banned or Whitelisted.

Also thanks to the latest CSGO update, this should work much more effectively:
"Server ban list filter is now enforced in early stages of client connection packet handling."

Just add the IP to the whitelist file and it will be fine.

I use this and ha e banned hundreds of offending IPs except they just keep attacking. It seems the ban is ineffective. I have the ban time set to a large amount of time but I can see the banned IP continue to ping even when banned?
