sm_advertisements_enabled (0/1, def 1)
Enable/disable displaying advertisements.

sm_advertisements_file (def "advertisements.txt")
File to read the advertisements from. Useful if you're running multiple servers from one installation, and want to use different advertisements per server.

sm_advertisements_interval (def 30)
Amount of seconds between advertisements.

sm_advertisements_reload
Server command to reload the advertisements from advertisements.txt.

I see some people have this working with their L4D2 servers. It shows up in HLSW as being active but is not working in server. My server is Windows....is this a known issue or my issue only?

And what i mean but it not working is that no chat messages show up. I had this on my l4d server which it worked perfectly with. I'm using latest snapshot of both MM:S and SM

I tried re installing SM and still no luck with this. I have everything else i have loaded working correctly except for this. When i try to change sm_advertisements_enabled in console it's an unknown command. I have the txt file in the correct spot(configs) and both the smx and sp file in the correct spots. I used this same plugin on both of my last servers so i'm sure i have it installed correctly but still can't figure out this one.

of course it's unknown command, it's server cvar (not client).
try to change it w/ rcon.
Or just add it to server.cfg file.

what is rank boxes? why do you think they are created by this plugin?

I think they are created by this plugin because they are.
