yea, me too it jus says not found. but on the chat box it also states that i played In the End but no music.

may i know what you meant by updated downloadurl in ur config? cos as far as i know, downloadurl is an web address. and you placed the MP3 in there <-- there = where?

oh yea, alm, maybe it's the file format? cos my .mp3 files are all in 320Kbps Bit Rate and 48.000kHz Sample Rate.

No no, you just have to take the spaces out of the file name. Or else the plugin will try to play playlist/in, instead of playlist/in_the_end.mp3

As for the chat, that comes from the data

ok, i removed the blanks, it got playing in chat box but no music? is it need diff bitrate?

imagine it really can play 320Kbps bitrate, the whole network server will be very very laggy.

Where did you place the Mp3 file? the location in the RAR dosnt match the config.

in rar its in a sound folder.

When you use the command in SourcePawn it automatically adds the sound/

As for the bitrate, I'm pretty sure any is fine.

The plugin might just not work in L4D, or it might be an issue of the clients not having the music. Try manually putting the song into your sound folder, and see if you can hear it then

erm, i tried, it works but no sound was being played through my speakers.
(1 being placed in server, 1 being placed in my l4d steam folder)

Here is something odd the I noticed.

The server is setup and acts like its working(L4D) however no soud is played.

The interesting thing is that I check the client and it has the mp3 in sound/playlist/ folder.


It is actualy downloading the mp3 at the map load screen and showing the progress. L4D dosnt show the name of file being downloaded or any description of whats being downloading so it looks like its just loading the maps but it actualy downloads the mp3 to the client.



Now if we can just get it to play the mp3 )

If only i had l4d i could help out more, but i'm really lost with games I don't have... It's like reading a book you can't see. (0_0)

hm, I'll look into it and see if i can make a version which plays the sounds differently, then I'll post it here.

yup.. it is downloading but unfortunately, 99% of players who entered my server waited for max 2min and cos of the black screen, they just simply leave the server and rejoin. they thought it's their l4d has problem but actually it's downloading..
