Hi everyone,
Today, I bought a new PC, and transferred my server from the other one to this. So the new PC's OS is Windows 8 Enterprise, build 9200. So when I connect to my server with 127.0.0.1 (the hosting PC) it has some problems:
  • When connecting, the "Establishing connection to the server" part, is taking some seconds more to continue steps
  • When I am spectating someone in First Person View, my ping goes over 300 and lags so I cannot see that user properly, but when I respawn, everything is fine my ping is 0 to 13
I don't think it is because of my PC's performance or something because it has very good speed, etc as you can see here is some information about that:
  • Intel Core i5
  • 3.20 GHz
  • Nvidia Geforce GT 610, 2GB DDR3 Memory
Anyone has the same problem after using the HLServer on a new OS like me?

just reinstall the server.
Copying servers is just a bad idea.

It was not about the server, it is about the game. The only server problem is it doesn't establish a connection to Steam Servers which is fixed if you put +ip "ur lan ip" in your startup command line.

Yeah and there is no problem at all (no difference if you connect from other computers)

Yeah, it is but mostly depends on your system. Like on my previous PC, when they were 2 players playing, the CPU Usage was 1.50, 2.00 and like that (I got that by the output of "stats" command) but now on this new PC when they are 6 players, it is 0.00, and starting from 7 or 8 players, it will go to 0.30 etc and the servers are the same which I tested this. So this is like an example of playing game on the PC if you play on a server with the hosting PC which is old, it will lag too much, use CPU too much, and more usage, but in my case, it seems fine and no lag in the server at all.

Windows is better but most of the hosting services use linux because it has less problems for use of hosting.
