Hi DejaDeW. We have been unable to reproduce this crash after repeated attempts, and other server operators on the HLDS mailing list have also confirmed that they cannot reproduce it. Without any ability to see why it's crashing, it's pretty hard for us to fix it. We suspect that the servers that crash in this manner are running some server mod that makes them vulnerable to it. Robin.

When did you get that e-mail from Robin?
The last post on either hlds or hlds_linux about the heavy fist exploit was at the end of October, 2009. How have other people on hlds tested this and it doesn't happen when noone has talked about it?

That didnt make sense but if you are asking if the plugin is still needed, I believe the issue has not been fixed. I still have it loaded on all our servers......
