Hi, my server was running at host. but i want to server at my own vps. i uploaded everything then ran hlds. but it says "bad alloc" "core dumped". so server cant run. what can i do? as i said everything was working at host. Thans!

Are you sure you installed server properly ? On what start command you are trying to run server

im running with screen cmd. its;

screen -A -m -d -S cs1 ./hlds_run -console -game cstrike -ip xx.xx.xx.xx -port 27015 +maxplayers 32 +map zm_foda -debug

try this first -> ./hlds_run -game cstrike +maxplayers 32 +map de_dust2 -pingboost 2

and Disable any linux protection like SELinux

try running server without any addons at first . if it is running fine then problem is in your addons

yes, a addon makes that but also error logs clear too. how can i find out that?

have you installed fresh amxmodx metamod ?

Well disable SElinux


1) vi /etc/sysconfig/selinux
2) press i (to enter insert mode)
3) change SELINUX=enforcing to SELINUX=permissive
4) press ESC (to exit insert mode)
5) type :wq (to write the file and quit vi)
6) reboot
7) start hlds

/etc/ havent got sysconfig. and /etc/selinux/semanage.conf theres only that. and tried other too. there isnt a kernel line at my one;

For the other Linuxes which don't have the /etc/selinux/config file, you just need to edit the kernel boot line, usually in /boot/grub/grub.conf if you're using the GRUB boot loader. On the kernel line, add enforcing=0 at the end.

Fisrt of all thnx to @parerak for your help. I guess i fixed it. Firstly removed plugins-zplague. also plugins.ini was there. so server was ran successfully. so the problem was at plugins-zplague. i tried to put ";" starting of every plugin. then i found there was a plugin was making that bug
