hi bail,

this is [xXx] con from infexXxiousservers.com.
i founded [xXx] at www.xxxclanxxx.com, www.infexXxiousservers.com ,and run a deathmatch server that does really well.
currently it is a 24 man server because i see game issues when i make the server larger than that.

is there anyway in your next update that you could optimize your program so that it would be possible to run a 40 man deathmatch server?
as it stands a 40 man server would just be too l aggy and i know it is your mod or a conflict with beetle, because ive been building for about 5 years now.
my public 40 man 66 tic server is #1 in the world and has been there for several months.
i would like to take my deathmatch server and your mod to the top as well

if you would like to speak to me concerning this topic, then please feel free to email me at
[email protected]
my x fire is : infexXxiousservers
i would even be interested in sponsoring you and your group with a server for testing if necessary.
thx again for y our time.

[xXx] con

get a better server? CS:S DM isn't lightweight by definition, you're increasing the amount of gameplay by many-fold, which increases the load on Source. CS:S DM itself does very few expensive operations.

all of my source servers are awesome, except this.

The server I run my 40 player CSS DM on has a 3.6GHz P4, 2GB Ram, 100Mbit.

I think your machine isnt the problem.
It were no problem for this machine to run a 40 slots CS:S Server with deathmatch.

Are there other things that run on the server?

If you're trying to run it at 100 tick, try lowering it to 66.

i use beetlemod to run admin on the server, and i tried 66 tic , but it was horrible.
there is nothing else in this box

i currently have 21 servers this morning that run perfectly on 66 tic.

possible that beetlemod and deathmatch dont get along?
