I followed every single step mentioned in the installation guide. I generated the .vdf with options "I don't know" (but i use winxp) and "Half-Life 2 Multiplayer" then place it under the directory \hl2mp\addons. But when I created a hl2dm dedicated server using "Source Dedicated Server" and type "meta version", i got this: Unknown command "meta". Whats wrong?

This is my .vdf:

}

I tried editing it to "/server.dll" instead of "/server", because I don't have any .so in \hl2mp\addons\metamod\bin, but didn't work either...

Please help me :'(

Try picking Windows instead of I Don't Know.

Thank you very much....and it's working now. It didn't work coz of my stupidity. I ran the server using Source Dedicated Server, but I installed the mod in HL2: DM folder. I then installed it in Source Dedicated Server folder and it worked. I know, i'm a noob.Thanks anyway.
