Who really wants to paste in multiple plugins and have to go back to the plugins folder to make sure you have the name right?

Though, its not that hard, just could be a we-tad easier for those busy admins.
you could just change it back yourself in the core cfg or something i didnt look.
paths will be hardcoded in the next version..
also, the plugin manager could search the amxmodx.org servers for plugins and would allow you to download them...
awesome hardcoded paths. lmao. hmm i wonder if hexing it would work tho it would be easier to just recompile it.

well yea you should hard code them in but why put the plugins.ini there its kinda annoying. Plus having a txt file pointing out to the files makes it look like amxmodx got coded very shitty in a way.

I like how things are as far as the configs folder, though "modules.ini" and "plugins.ini" should go in their respected folders. Why not code in the option to have a cvar in the amx.cfg that overrights the defualt "modules.ini" and "plugins.ini" locations. Make it flexible for the USER and not just designed for the programmer.

amxmod x is supposed to be as efficient as possible and improved. Although adding another cvar to change where the plugins.ini is fairly simple and it really wouldnt effect the speed of amxmodx. Its best to use less cvars and shorter coding.

True but this wouldnt have to be oh so complicated. Hell, it could even be a extra "amx_mm.dll"(Win32) that comes in the zip for those of us who DO or DONT want it.

Also, the cvar would only be read if it actually is set. Have like a sleep mode for the cvar check.

well sure that can be done but its really not worth it wasting some time and bandwith in the end just for a few people who want diffrently.. Now if the whole community wantted it changed maybe the developers would give in :-P

I personally don't care... I guess plugins and modules in their respective folders makes sense but it's up to PM and SniperBeamer.
