I am New iN thIs siTe But when i SAw how people help each other i said "why NOt to try??"
I 've being tested by an admin of a server latelly and i ;ve PASSED!!I can't describe you my excitement!BUT!!He told me(the admin) to put the rcon password he gave me!!I put It (i press ~ and write rcon_password X) and i try some commands like admin_ban and admin_map bUT nothing happen!!It told me something like you dont have access to this command!!!WHY?!!!The only things i could do was like rcon changelevel and rcon ....BUt only rcon commands!!!!WHY???what can i do?
ALSO other admins that was tested and passed and they would put some commands their name was appeared down left to the screen but mine wasnt!!(eg SORT admin_rcon admin_ban ,,,,)why???Why??WHY???

Type :

rcon amx_addadmin neofytos abcdefghijklmnopqrstu "" steamid

Then you will have access.

Just write a part of your nick, it will store your steamid.
If your in-game nick is 'neofytos', just write exactly what i wrote.

i dedicated my own server and i put the rcon password then i write rcon amx_addadmin M - A - S - T - E - R' BUT NOTHING HAPPEN THE SAME THING

if you go in to the folder were you dedicated is there will be a "addon" folder open it then open amxmodx the configs and "users" oen it as a notepad and the bottom add "steamid" "" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "ce"

If you name has a space in it, you need to put your name in quotes

Just for your future reference if you ever needed a Steam ID, you can just do this console command:

status

You should get a lot of results, depending on how many people are in the server, and a steamID will be stored looking something like this:

Steam_0_0: XXXXXX

If you just wanted to find your own steamID, just do what I do and make a local server, join it, and then do the 'status' command and you don't have to worry about all the other names being in the way.

And even if you don't feel like doing that, you can just use this program to find your SteamID for you.
