You addressed the problem, you didn't offer a valid solution. Any way you do it, if you make it so that each team gets the same zombies/items on the same maps, the second team to play through as survivors has a huge advantage.

You need to go read it more closely. Yes, it allows each team to prepare when the other team goes first. However, the order for each stage is different than normal games so it balances out.

In normal versus it goes:
1. Team A survivor first
2. Team A survivor first
3. Team A survivor first
4. Team A survivor first
5. Team A survivor first

In my proposal it goes:
1. Team A survivor first
2. Team B survivor first
3. Team A survivor first
4. Team B survivor first
5. Team A survivor first

Team B gets to be infected first one additional round, but since it's the 5th which is completely scripted anyway, it really doesn't matter. Sure, it doesn't perfectly balance things since some stages won't have tanks and witches while others will, but it's suitable enough for competition.

Since the Tank and Witch spawn at approximately the same spots, it would be still useful if we had a team swap plugin to at least distribute which team starts first (and gets surprised) evenly.
