Dont know how to get external IP address into the plugin. but for the internal use what is posted above. I mean you can open an MOTD to http://whatismyip.com and then you copy in into a command like amx_externalip "IP_FROM_WHATIS..." then you could have both, but i dont see how that would benefit what you want.

If you only need the IP:
