This isn't valid. CStrike is downloaded by default when you install AppID 90

No it doesn't. It's mentioned in the wiki. AppID 90 installs HLDS core files, forcing mod is required as of my knowledge.

I believe the wiki is incorrect, but I cannot verify it since there appears to be an issue with the Steam Network right now (I can't seem to get connected correctly to the Steam Public servers)
