Are you sure Extinguish and Ignite are correct? I'm having reports that plugins using them has stopped working now.

Another question regarding game data updates. Say this would happen again and no sm devs would be online,
would it be just that easy to guess that adding 1 or 2 to the offset(s) would work?

Because it seems like in almost every gamedata update the new offset value is added by 1 or 2.

You can guess, but there's no reason it can't be -2 or +5 or +1 for some and +3 for others. It just depends how many virtual functions that they added and removed and where, between CBaseEntity, CBaseFlex, CBaseAnimating, CBaseCombatCharacter, CBaseMultiplayerPlayer, CBasePlayer.

For anything that SM, SDK Tools, and SDK Hooks use, you can watch here, http://nicholashastings.com/gdc/?C=M;O=D
If it's a required update, a new file will be made there shortly after. SM Devs also get a notification on irc when an update is detected and new file added. It's the same system mentioned here.

If you have any plugins or third-party extensions that use their own gamedata, they made need updates as well.

Ah, had no idea about that The l4d2 updates are rather small these days, maybe a reason why the offsets don't fluctuate that much.

Either way thanks for the explaniation and thank you for updating the gamedata so quick

Not just HL2: DM, but also DoD:S. Reports are that only TF2 is working of the 3 Orange Box games at the moment.

Edit: I should mention that clients are crashing on startup, not just servers.

My Sourcemod gamedata files were not updating (but SDKHooks did!). I don't know why. I had to grab the latest gamedata from the development snapshot. But it works now.

I did notice that I did not have the sm-cstrike.games folder in my existing installation. Is it possible the Sourcemod gamedata updater was expecting that folder to exist, and if it couldn't find it, then it would fail?

Yeah same here,I tried slaying a target and the server crashed.

Edit: Now the server works with the updated gamedata.
