After a while, this plugin seems to stop advertising and I have to restart the server. I have checked the error log and sm plugins list and there is nothing saying bad load or error or anything... any suggestions???

Linux or Windows? Which game?

For me it works fine (Linux, CSS). Try to re-compile the plugin under the latest stable SM.

Hmm. For me, this is a bit confusing and causing me a headache. lol

We have adverts on 4 different servers, all on a Centos 5 Linux dedicated server. We have 14 servers in total, but across different configs and setups, IE gungame, standard css, pistols only etc etc. All of these are up to date and use the following at present.

The games are, CSS, TF2 L4D2 and DOD Source.

MetaMod:Source v1.8.7V,
EventScripts v2.1.1.370,
SourceMod v1.3.8

We have used this adverts plugin for about a year or more and its been sweet, but lately ive noticed it hasnt been working right.

I took note of the above and re-compiled the sp file and it produced a much larger file than the original one, ( 9258 bytes ) compared to the default downloadable version on this very thread of ( 7572 bytes ). Might not mean a lot, but im just giving you all the info I have.

Same results really. The adverts dont seem to work properly, I only get the first two adverts ( of the standard supplied advertisments.txt example ). The rest dont come up at all. Its also a long time after the round has started or the player has joined before they arrive. Approx 20 mins.

Can someone confirm how the duration is set and where this is ?

From what I can make out ( even though ive disabled this to try and work out if it helps ) this line changes the duration between each advert, but it doesnt work for us on any of our servers.

sm_advertisements_interval 30
sm_advertisements_enabled 1

Are these valid now? We have this in our server.cfg but ive taken them out for now and it makes no difference... rebooting doesnt make any difference either. I even have a cron that reboots our servers each day, so dont think its a "build up" issue.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

Thats for the suggestion, but no, ive just tried it on a server we have that doesnt even have ES on it ( just sourcemod + metamod ) and it does the same thing. I get the first advert, but then nothing.

Ive tried removing all the flags as well and using differnet options on where the advert is shown, still no difference.

Really odd.

sv_pure makes no difference either, I removed it to see if that was causing it.

I only need sourcemod for this, correct?
Placed the txt /dod/addons/sourcemod/configs folder.
Placed the smx /dod/addons/sourcemod/plugins.
None of the sm_ commands work in console, like sm_advertisment_reload etc
No ads show in server. I remember using this years ago.
