You don't need to add database, just configure the cfg file called helltags.cfg from the cfg folder and if u want to ban tags, u have a banned_tags.txt file in the configs folder.

This is not what I need. And the plugin doesn't work correctly!

U need to add clientprefs db in your database.cfg in order to save tags.
voteban don't work? from where did you came up with that? they have nothing related.
Give me error logs or try to explain better.
